Nazli Shahine Nazli Shahine
Owner and Director
Dear Parent, as a mother of three children, I truly understand the importance of trusting a provider to care for your child. As parents, we love our children so deeply, and we need the peace of mind that we've found a center where the staff truly cares about our children. At Urban Toddlers, it is our objective to provide the highest level of quality care and education for your child in the safest, most secure environment available. In order to provide this level of care and education, we began with a state of the art building, highly qualified and caring teachers, instituted internationally recognized curricula, and strict levels of safety and cleanliness. Children who have the opportunity to start their education early in life have a much better chance of becoming successful. What a child can be, what his or her interests will be, and what his or her capabilities will be, are determined in a child’s early years. Urban Toddlers’ educational philosophy is to provide your child with the skills necessary to excel in school and life. Our philosophy is based on traditional values and proven curricula that recognize the importance of each individual child’s interests and talents. We thank you for your interest in Urban Toddlers Child Development Center and look forward to being an important element in your child’s education and development. Sincerely, Nazli Shahine.

I have been an early childhood educator since 2004. I have teaching experience in one of Egypt’s reputable preschools as well as the British International School in Cairo (BISC), where I have worked in foundation stage classrooms. I hold a masters degree in International and Comparative Education from AUC with a concentration in Educational Leadership (2012), as well as a Diploma in Early Literacy Education (2008). I also work as a part-time instructor at AUC’s Graduate School of Education program and a yoga teacher since I earned 200hours of Hatha yoga practice in 2017. Teaching is my passion! It was only when I started teaching young children that I realized that this is what I wanted to do for life. I believe that children should learn in an environment that allows for freedom, creativity, self-expression and choice making, enabling them to acquire knowledge and make memorable learning experiences, all in a structured, enabling environment, where teachers are facilitators to learning and development. It’s been a great journey working at Urban Toddlers! have joined the team back in 2011 and have always felt motivated and enthusiastic to share my passion and experience with everyone here. I am looking forward to more learning, re-learning and un-learning, from my colleagues as well as parents, as I believe that parents are their children’s first teachers. I will always be working on designing, implementing and revising the best early childhood practices, to ensure children’s continuous learning and global growth. Feel free to knock on my door anytime, as your children’s welfare is simply my job!

Malak Morsy Malak Morsy
Teacher of the Maples Group, Suburban Toddlers
Hey everyone! I'm Malak. I've been an early childhood educator for 3 years now, and my passion towards educating children using social-emotional learning continues to grow. Studying Social Psychology has impacted me in many ways that help me engage and involve students in my classes, ensuring my students feel both emotionally and physically safe to explore the world around them. I enjoy sensory play and watching children learn through their senses and identifying their feelings, while offering them tools to empower them to become joyful, strong, and proactive individuals both in the classroom and in their lives. It's important for me to provide a nurturing environment for every child, so that each one feels seen, heard, and supported every day. I am honoured and excited to be part of the Suburban Toddlers team, and to being one piece of the puzzle in all my students' formative life experiences.
