Heba Mahmoud
Principal I have been an early childhood educator since 2004. I have teaching experience in one of Egypt’s reputable preschools as well as the British International School in Cairo (BISC), where I have worked in foundation stage classrooms. I hold a masters degree in International and Comparative Education from AUC with a concentration in Educational Leadership (2012), as well as a Diploma in Early Literacy Education (2008). I also work as a part-time instructor at AUC’s Graduate School of Education program and a yoga teacher since I earned 200hours of Hatha yoga practice in 2017. Teaching is my passion! It was only when I started teaching young children that I realized that this is what I wanted to do for life. I believe that children should learn in an environment that allows for freedom, creativity, self-expression and choice making, enabling them to acquire knowledge and make memorable learning experiences, all in a structured, enabling environment, where teachers are facilitators to learning and development. It’s been a great journey working at Urban Toddlers! have joined the team back in 2011 and have always felt motivated and enthusiastic to share my passion and experience with everyone here. I am looking forward to more learning, re-learning and un-learning, from my colleagues as well as parents, as I believe that parents are their children’s first teachers. I will always be working on designing, implementing and revising the best early childhood practices, to ensure children’s continuous learning and global growth. Nabila Massrali

Installée au Caire depuis l’année 2000 et maman de deux enfants, j’ai eu la chance et le plaisir de travailler en tant qu'enseignante dans plusieurs établissements francophones. Riche de cette expérience de près d’une quinzaine d’années... Audrey Vagenhende
Branch Manager - Urban Toddlers Bonjour à tous ! Je m’appelle, Audrey Vagenhende, je suis belge et mère d’une petite fille. Fille de diplomate, j’ai eu la chance de vivre dans différents pays. Il y a 16 ans je suis arrivé en Égypte et je n’en suis jamais repartie. Après des études de Langues, j’ai découvert ma passion pour l’éducation. Il y a 10 ans, j’ai commencé mon parcours dans l’enseignement en tant que professeur de français de cours particuliers pour les plus jeunes. En 2014, j’ai eu la chance de travailler à Urban Toddlers, et en 2016 au Lycée Balzac. Aujourd’hui, je suis heureuse de faire à nouveau partie de l’équipe, et je me fais une joie de rencontrer tous vos petits et de leur faire découvrir beaucoup de nouvelles choses !

Engy Abaza
Teacher of the Daisies Group, Urban Toddlers Hi, my name is Engy Abaza! I have started training and working at Urban Toddlers since June and I am currently a teacher alongside Jayda for the Marigolds this year. I have graduated from The American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2021 with a degree in English and Comparative Literature, and it is my hope to obtain an MA in International and Comparative Education from there as well. More importantly, being an aunt to five beautiful children ever since I was 10 years old, and even before then, teaching and working with children had always been a dream of mine. I have had some experience tutoring children ages 6-12 in English including subjects like: writing, reading comprehension and vocabulary since it’s something I have a passion for, and it is always my goal to make my time with them interactive. That is, I always like to create activities and opportunities which involve play, movement, and sensory experiences to keep their interest and help them grow. I hope to continue to learn and use innovative ways to keep doing so here to make your child’s experience as enjoyable, positive, and as peaceful as possible!

Salma El Sawy
Teacher of the Peonies Group, Suburban Toddlers Hello, I am Salma El Sawy, I am Egyptian and I have recently graduated in from The American College of Greece in 2021. I majored in Psychology. I have had a passion to work with children from a very young age from babysitting to interning at Urban Toddlers and being a rhythmic gymnastics coach. I still am passionate and eager to educate as well as learn about children more and more everyday. As a future psychologist, I believe that our childhood shapes who we become which is why working with children is extremely important as well as rewarding. I look forward to a very exciting and motivational year!

Habiba El Kholy
Teacher Of The Tulips Group, Suburban Toddlers My name is Habiba El Kholy. I lived abroad for the majority of my life, growing up in many different countries. Resultantly, I developed a strong passion for understanding others and the psychological mechanisms behind their actions. So much so, that I sought out a bachelor degree of psychology at the University of Bath in England. There I learnt that early education is the foundation of all knowledge. Having begun as a teacher at Suburban Toddlers, I have come to realise that children teach us as much as we teach them; to be curious, to be expressive and to find joy in simple pleasures. The duality of this job is the reason that I am passionate about facilitating these preschool years for the children. I look forward to being a part of their journey!

Shaimaa El Sherif
Teacher of the Lilies Group, Suburban Toddlers Hi, my name is Shaimaa El Sherif, and I have been a dedicated member of the Suburban Toddlers team since 2020. My passion for working with children ignited from my personal experience as a mother to a wonderful and intelligent son, who has taught me invaluable lessons about patience, creativity, and the profound impact of love and care on a child's development. This year, I am thrilled to embark on the journey of teaching the baby class. My goal is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where our youngest learners can grow, learn, and thrive. I am committed to helping them explore their senses, engage in new experiences, and participate in diverse activities that will allow them to discover their interests and develop their unique skills. My name is Cherry Walid , and I couldn’t be more excited to join this wonderful community. Maitresse des Lotus, Urban Toddlers Coucou les parents ! Je m’appelle Veronia Elhomy. J’ai fait mes études scolaires au Collège du Bon Pasteur, je suis diplômée en 2011 de la faculté des lettres, département de la langue et de la littérature française. J’ai travaillé dans plusieurs écoles maternelles francophones en tant qu’enseignante. Je suis ravie de rejoindre l’équipe d’Urban Toddlers en 2019, j’ai pu travailler avec les deux niveaux : les moyens et les grands. Ma passion est de leur apprendre en s’amusant et les aider à développer leurs capacités motrices, cognitives et sociales.

Mariam Shaalan
Teacher of the Lavenders Group, Urban Toddlers Hello, I graduated from MSA University with a BA in broadcasting. I have joined Urban Toddlers since 2010, and have been working with the FS2 students of the Elephants group. I really enjoy working with children. I feel that in this age (4 – 6 yrs.), it is important to be open to a lot of different learning experiences. I am interested in art and science, and love to engage the students in those fields; the students are willing to share a lot of interesting facts with me, too. I am looking forward to working at Urban Toddlers next year with its great staff and wonderful students!

Engy El Barky
Teacher of the Poinsettias Group, Urban Toddlers I am Egyptian and graduated from MSA University as a Business and International Marketing major. I used to work in 'Ofok' properties, real estate. I was really lucky to find Urban Toddlers and I began working with the Monkeys group in August 2010. In the fall, I switched to the Bees class and I have also taught the Bears, who are slightly older. It’s been 11 years at Urban Toddlers and I am really happy to be working with the little ones’ one more time.

Latifa Foda
Teacher of the Sunflowers Group, Urban Toddlers My name is Latifa Foda. I graduated from Cairo University, Faculty of Law (English Section). I worked as a corporate lawyer at Matouk Bassiouny and Hennawy and as a research intern at Baker and Mckenzie. Additionally, I worked as a teacher assistant at El Alsson British and American International School. I have joined the Urban toddlers team in 2021 and I’m very excited about it! I have taught the babies last year and this year I will teach FS1 age of the Sunflowers group! I’m hoping to achieve the students’ learning objectives in a fun and educational manner!

Maitresse des Magnolias - Urban Toddlers Bonjour, Je m'appelle Chahira Cherine, je suis une maman d’une fille qui poursuit ses études à l’école allemande. J'ai fait mes études scolaires dans une école Française et j'ai travaillé pendant 19 ans à Preschool years comme enseignante. Je parle l'Arabe, le Français, l'Anglais, et l'Allemand. Mona Bakhookh
Maitresse des Mimosas, Suburban Toddlers Je m'appelle Mona Bakhookh, je suis licenciée en commerce international de la faculté d'Alger. J'ai travaillé dans une banque étrangère pendant 9 ans puis je me suis installée en France pour une période de 5 ans. Ça fait 8 ans que je vis en Egypte avec mon mari et mes deux enfants (qui poursuivent leurs études en France). Aujourd’hui j’ai plusieurs années d’expérience dans le domaine de l’enseignement et je suis ravie d’accueillir vos petits anges pour les aider à se développer, s’éveiller au monde et s’épanouir au sein de notre chaleureuse équipe à Suburban Toddlers.
